Positive: Affordable, neat and clean space, within walking distance of Suva. Very safe and secure as sandwiched between an NGO office and family home. Appreciated the full kitchen and good sized fridge.

Positive: The place was very clean. The host was so nice and very understanding. We needed more time to rest, and Suzie the host was more than accomdating with no hassle at all. Near to town and supermarkets. .

Positive: Spacious! Bed was very comfortable. Lots of fans and air flowthrough so no issue with heat/humidity. Secure. Safe location. Close to shops. (600m) well equipped kitchen.

Positive: Things me and my partner appreciated alot: -The accommodation overall was clean and tidy. - Necessities like towels, extra blanket, soap and laundry powder was provided. - Kitchen appliances and utenzils were also provided. - The host was not able to greet us at the accommodation but our check-in process was simple and fast as she had someone to help us check in. - Host was very responsive and tried to accommodate to our last minute request as much as she could. - Location was perfect for catching taxis.
Negative: Things my partner and I overlooked but could be a problem to others: - there was an office next door and could sometimes hear when people move because the floorboards were a bit creaky - no aircon but honestly did not need it at all because the room was always cool and it honestly felt like an aircon WAS on.
Summary: Safe and wonderful stay. Host is very considerate.

Positive: I'm really glad I stayed at the Berry Cottage during my visit to Suva. It is located in a really safe and quiet area, a short walk away from both the centre of town as well as the Fiji Museum and Thurston Gardens. The host was very friendly and welcoming, and interesting to talk with - the building dates back to World War II and feels like it has some history, with the high ceilings and old British atmosphere. It was also brilliant value for money, being very spacious, and with excellent kitchen facilities including a fridge and microwave which I found really helpful. I would have liked to have stayed longer, and highly recommend this accommodation for a peaceful and comfortable stay in fascinating Suva.

Positive: Place is hard to rate. Location was good as it is near 2 bus routes and 20min walk to CBD & 10min to supermarket. Little street noise apart from the DOGS! At night wandering mobs and lots of noise throughout the night on both nights we stayed. 3 We’ll behaved dogs live in the compound and get stirred up by the barking from others on the streets. Mightn’t happen every night? The place has character with good ventilation and fans. Has open layout with few doors. Has a lived in feel with good beds and furniture and well equipped kitchen. All clean but old. Wash machine and iron. Would suit a longer term stay. No TV or A/C. Good wifi. Bedroom curtains could be less see through. Of the two units, the larger one at the end gets more of the resident dogs’ noise! Host very nice and helpful. Fiji Club and coffee places nearby.
Negative: Noisy dogs all night! Better bedroom curtains needed.
Summary: Well priced, home style unit. Old but comfortable with many modern ammenities.

Positive: We left our home in Levuka at 5am for almost 2 hrs boat ride before reaching suva at 10am. We were greeted by the host who was very accommodating and offered to supply us with tea stuff which we felt it was so lovely of her as the weather was cold. She was so warm and so helpful. The place was so clean, tidy , spacious and even did our laundry before we left. CCTV was present and the neighborhood was peaceful. There were also toys for our little one to keep herself occupied during our stay. The experience we felt as a family was just too good. I recommended this place to my friend today at work.
Negative: I just regretted not knowing the place earlier.
Summary: We felt a slice of home away from home for the first time. Loved it very much.
